This is a 4 mic recording taken inside a pachinko parlor in akasaka, tokyo. There are so many loud machines and the background music is so loud that you can hardly make out individual sounds and the entire space is just a wash of noise. I was awakened at about 3 am by a local thunderstorm. It was raining softly and lightning came regularly. I recorded over 4 minutes of it from my front porch using an iphone and added recording app, and nothing else. This file is unmodified. A young backpacker is walking along a country road but is kidnapped and bound. When caged, he comes to the realization that his mountain-dwelling captors are practicing cannibals. After escaping his bonds and getting out of the makeshift cage, he silently slips from the campsite into the hills, and after picking his way around rocks and waterfalls and through miles of forest, he is hopelessly lost.
